Have you been involved in a motor vehicle accident? Have you experienced an injury due to someone else’s negligence? If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident, and are experiencing pain or discomfort to your neck and back, you may be a victim of a whiplash associated injury.
Whiplash is a serious medical injury that occurs whenever the muscles and vertebrae in the neck experience hyperflexion/ hyperextension, or a forward/backward motion. This motion can cause severe pain, as well as other various symptoms. Although there are several ways to sustain a whiplash injury, the most common occurrence is during a rear end collision vehicle accident.

If you have been in an automobile accident, it is important that you seek medical attention immediately. If a doctor diagnoses you with a whiplash associated disorder, you may want to also seek the advice of a professional personal injury attorney. Common symptoms of whiplash to look for after an accident are neck, shoulder, jaw, arm or back pain, dizziness, fatigue, headache, ringing in the ears and visual disturbances. In more severe cases, you may experience depression, anger, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and even post-traumatic stress syndrome.
A personal injury lawyer will be able to evaluate your injury and the facts surrounding your accident, and advise you on the best course of action. You will be given information about the treatment options for your whiplash injury as well.
Severe whiplash injuries can cause debilitating social and financial damages including loss of income, job loss, and loss of society. Not to mention the obvious physical limitations the injury imposes. Your doctor can prescribe the best course of treatment for your individual case, though immobilizing the neck has been shown to actually prolong the injury leaving most doctors to suggest physical therapy to help regain motion and decrease swelling of the muscles.
For assistance with the financial damages associated with a whiplash injury, you need to seek the support of a good personal injury attorney.

Major Rhode Island Roadways:
Interstate 95: I-95: I-95 is the main north-south Interstate Highway on America’s east coast. In Rhode Island, I-95 travels from the Connecticut border near Westerly through Warwick and Providence and then on to the Massachusetts border in Pawtucket. Routes I-195 and I-295 (discussed below) are spurs of I-95.
Interstate 195: I-195: Travelling a combined 40.1 miles in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, I-195 leaves its junction with I-95 in Providence then heads east to a junction with I-495 and Route 25 on Massachusetts’ Cape Cod. The section of I-195 in downtown Providence is being replaced. The new route will lie just south of the Fox Point Hurricane Barrier.
Interstate 295: I-295: At a length of just 26.58 miles in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, I-295 is short but vital. From its southern terminus in Warwick, it forms an essential western beltway around Providence before ending to the north in Attleboro, Massachusetts.
